Time is short, but please enjoy the pictures of Buda and Pest! Properly pronounced, the unified city's name is Budda-pesht.
We took an amazing free walking tour for 3 hours, and learned about the city's history and culture. They have a dark history with communism, and lots of invasions dating back to the country's origins. The Hungarians do not want to be associated with the Huns, who were a different tribe. Rather, they identify as Maygars and consider themselves Maygarian. How fascinating!
The pictures are of Saint Stephen's cathedral, the inside of the opera house, the memorial celebrating the end of the Soviet Union, the obelesque of the Heroes' Square and some random building in the city park.
Vienna is up next! Then a night in Bratislava, Solvenia before going to Prague :)
